While our efforts to advocate for Jaheim McMillan will continue and remain ongoing, due to a lack of transparency and their endangerment of other organizing entities, The Next Gen Come Up will no longer be working in collaboration with Elayjiah Wooley and her organization -- Free My People -- on organizing efforts pertaining to the case of Jaheim McMillan and the Gulfport 4. As an organization that encourages youth leaders to take up space in the social change arena, The Next Gen Come Up has always prioritized transparency and the safety of its grassroots volunteers/ comrades. As such, we prefer to only collaborate with organizations that share those same priorities.
